August 27, 2025 – Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago — In a bold step toward empowering those who protect and serve, the Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Bank Limited (TTMB) and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association (TTPSSWA) have signed a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand access to affordable housing, financial literacy, and investment opportunities for Police Service members.

The signing ceremony, held at TTMB’s Head Office on August 21, 2025, marks the beginning of a values-driven partnership rooted in service, inclusion, and national upliftment.

A Shared Commitment to Those Who Serve

The MOU establishes a dynamic framework for TTMB to deliver customized mortgage financing, housing development support, and investment products tailored to the unique needs of TTPS officers. It also launches a series of educational initiatives to promote financial literacy and long-term planning.

“This is more than a partnership – it is a meaningful step forward in our commitment to national development and social upliftment” said Brent Mc Fee, Acting Chief Executive Officer of TTMB. “We believe that those who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities deserve the opportunity to build secure, prosperous futures for themselves and their families.”

“This agreement is a major step forward in our mission to support the welfare of our officers,” said Gideon Dickson, President of the TTPS Social and Welfare Association. “We are excited to work alongside TTMB to ensure our 7,000+ TTPS officers have access to affordable housing and the financial tools they need to thrive.”

Building a Stronger Future, Together

The MOU will remain in effect for five years, with annual reviews to ensure continued relevance and impact. Both parties have expressed enthusiasm about the potential to expand the partnership into new areas of service and development.

This MOU reflects a shared vision: a Trinidad and Tobago where every officer can own a home, build wealth, and feel valued for their service.

“Together, we’re not just building houses—we’re building hope,” said Brent Mc Fee. “This partnership is a testament to what’s possible when institutions unite around purpose.”
