Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago — The Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Bank (TTMB) officially handed over the restored football field at St. Dominic’s Children’s Home (SDCH), Belmont, reaffirming its commitment to community development and the well-being of disadvantaged and socially displaced children.

As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, TTMB sponsored the full cost for the restoration of the field, ensuring its safe and optimal use for recreational, physical, and educational purposes. The project was executed by Superior Landscaping and General Contracting Company Limited, under the oversight of SDCH.

The restored field will benefit not only the children of St. Dominic’s Home, but also students at St. Francis Boys’ College, Belmont Boys RC School and St. Phillips Government Primary School, providing a shared space for sporting, training, and educational activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, TTMB’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Brent Mc Fee, emphasized the Bank’s commitment to building stronger communities: “This football field is more than a donation — it is a symbol of hope, opportunity, and partnership. TTMB is proud to invest in spaces where children can learn teamwork, discipline, and joy through sport.”

Sr. Arlene Greenidge, General Manager of SDCH, expressed gratitude for TTMB’s support: “This restored field will have a lasting impact on the children and schools in our care. It is a gift that will inspire growth and achievement for years to come.”

The ceremony also included remarks from Ms. Silina Edwards-Hinds, Principal at St. Francis Boys’ College, who highlighted the past students at the college who went on to achieve greatness, particularly in sport. The speeches were followed by the formal signing of the Agreement, a photo opportunity, and a demonstration football game by the St. Francis College Football Team.

A sponsorship sign erected on the field proudly acknowledges TTMB’s role in the restoration, serving as a lasting reminder of the Bank’s commitment to community development.
